Massage

My massage has been described as firm and thorough. I take great pride in both of these. I come from the school of thought that the whole body is connected and like to address the body as a whole, while addressing client’s specific complaints. All my years experience has given me great insight on how to address the right amount of pressure. I want my clients to know they’ve had a massage, but not to suffer while on my table or the next day. I have studied multiple modalities of massage therapy and combine all to create my form of body work.

Deep Tissue Massage
Used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles. This invigorating experience is a process of detection of stiff or painful areas by determining the quality and texture of the deeper layer of musculature, and slowly working into the deep layers of muscle tissue and fascia.

LaStone Therapy
Swedish massage enhanced by hot Basalt stones and cold marble stones, which apply the principles of thermotherapy into body work. It will take you into the realm of relaxation so rapidly that you will think you have passed into another time and place. The use of hot and cold treatments creates “vascular gymnastics” of the circulatory system, assisting the body in self healing. You will also experience a connection to mind, body and soul that will aid you in allowing your spirit to awaken.

Lomi Lomi
The healing art of this ancient traditional Hawaiian massage uses a beautiful form of fluid motion, a graceful movement designed to rock you into blissful release of tension. The deep rhythmic massage strokes improve flexibility, enhance relaxation and create a feeling of connectedness throughout the body.

Myofascial Release
A hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

Neuromuscular Therapy
The utilization of static pressure on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates the soft tissue of the body to balance the central nervous system.

Sports Massage
Helps to enhance athletic performance by improving range of motion, increasing waste removal and decreasing stress points. This treatment can be used before and after an event, and during training.

Swedish Massage
This gentle therapy that can relieve stress, promote relaxation and relieve painful or tight muscles. It also increases circulation, joint mobility, immune system function, decreases blood pressure and aids the body in removing waste.
